THON Blog

for the kids!

4 notes

Have you been wondering what you need to bring with you for THON Weekend?  The Morale Captains have created a video with some dancers who have some great advice for what you should pack and prepare for your 46 hours in the Bryce Jordan Center!

1. Talk to previous dancers for guidance and advice.

If you know someone who has danced before, they will be able to give you a lot    of  good advice and information that will be beneficial to you on THON Weekend!  Reach out to them for help.

2. Pack lightly, and dont pack too many sweats

You don’t have a lot of space to hold all of your things, so bring only things that you know that you’re going to use.  It can get very hot in the Bryce Jordan Center, you won’t need all of the layers.  If you get cold, someone will get you something to warm you up.

3. Bring more than 1 pair of shoes.

You will want to change your shoes throughout the weekend.  Giving your feet a different sensation will help you out a lot.  And bring lots of socks!

4. Pack a pair of sandles of slippers just in case.

This will give your feet a different feel than sneakers will and it will feel nice on your feet when you are switching shoes.

Are you a past dancer with some good advice on what to bring or something that really helped you get through the weekend?  Let us know at stories@thon.org
