A little while ago, we posted a list of 12 Reasons To Give This Season and asked for the reasons that you have donated and will be donating to THON this year!  We got a lot of great responses, here are a few of them;

“Yes! I donated twice so far. My sorority has two sets of independent dancers working towards the honor of dancing. As an independent undergrad dancer in 1991 and independent DMAIG dancer in 2010, I know the struggle to raise the money. I give all my support to those who want so fiercely to dance. FTK!!”

“Because I was a pediatric cancer patient at Childrens of Pittsburgh and didnt have the amazing Four Diamonds Fund like Hershey Medical Center! And because I am dancer this year trying to Brighten their Journey!”

“I donated because THON contributes almost 97% of the money it raises to the Four Diamonds Fund (a highly respectable percentage). Also, what good the Four Diamonds Fund has done, is doing, and continues to do really made me feel that my money is going to a worthy cause.”

“Yes, because a few years from now I hope to be able to celebrate my son’s five years of being cancer free, too. (we’ve got 15 happy, wonderful months so far!)”

I donated to my sorority and I’ve even requested that all of the dancers from my chapter send me a THONvelope! After everything that has happened recently, I feel that it is important to show the world what Penn State is all about. It is a prestigious university that graduates some of the world’s finest scholars and philanthropists who know what it means to give back! F-T-K!”
