It is hard to believe that we are only 100 Days away from the culmination of a years work.  THON 2012 is in a mere hundred days and the time is going to start flying by so quickly.  Today will be a celebration of where we have come from and where our journey will take us this year.  Throughout the day in the HUB, there will be many activities to participate in and many other things to do so that you can Brighten Every Journey for the coming year.  Things such as the line dance, THON’s Got Talent, and Family Speakers will be taking place in the HUB.  There will also be chances to be retweeted by THON is you participate in the THON Scavenger Hunt! We’ll give you some sneak peaks of the different clues that will be going up during the day:

• Go to where THON committee applications were turned in and where those looking to get involved in THON can learn more from the Involvement Fair!
• Now go the headquarters of THON in the HUB to end your search! Upload of pic to @THON #THONhunt

Tweet at @THON when you get to different destinations!  It will help you to get more involved with 100 Days and see the different things that THON does throughout the year.  There will be appearances from the THON’s Got Talent Performers as well as the Mr. and Ms. THON Pageant Contestants.  Stop by at the HUB any time between 11:00 am-2:30 pm and there is bound to be something great happening.  At 2:45, make your way over to Old Main for the Silent Rave and aerial picture!

There are also many fundraising efforts going on during the day. First, starting at midnight on November 8 and ending at midnight on November 9 will be Text Giving for THON!  For today only, if you text THON to 50555 you will pledge to donate $10 to THON when your cellphone bill is paid off.  Get as many friends and family members to donate as you possibly can, we want this to be really successful and it’s going to take your help to do so!

If you’re more in the mood for helping out THON, and for some delicious ice cream, stop down to Cold Stone Scoops For The Kids from 5:00-10:00 pm.  A portion of your proceeds benefit THON and you get to eat Cold Stone; what could be better?
