Here at the THON Blog, we want to keep you more in the loop about different alternative fundraisers that will be going on weekly. We’ll give you all the information you need to know, all you need to do is show up and support these alternative fundraisers FTK!
November 1, 2011:
Scentsy Candles Sale Benefiting THON
- This fundraiser is a candle sale taking place at Penn State University Park
- This sale is being put on by National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) and will take place from November 1-30, 2011
- It will be taking place at Penn State in State College, PA
- ’ “Scentsy products are beautifully crafted and easy to use; they’ll enhance your life with fragrance. Scentsy began with a simple idea; a safe, wickless alternative to scented candles. No flame, no soot, they are powered by a lightbulb. There are tons of awesome scents to choose from and they can be changed daily if you choose.” These candles are a great gift idea for family and friends! Most importantly 20% of the profits made from this fundraiser will help benefit THON!’
November 5, 2011:
OMG Food
- This fundraiser is a late night bakesale in Downtown State College
- This sale is being put on by FOTO Benefiting THON and it will take place from November 5-November 6, 2011
- It will be taking place outside of the Cold Stone Creamery on Beaver Avenue in State College, PA
November 6, 2011
Penn State Berks Benefiting THON 5K
- This fundraiser is a 5K being held at Penn State Berks. “The race will include a 1-mile fun run or walk, a 5-K run/walk, with chip timing. Pre-registration is on the website listed below. Cost are as follows: If you register before October 30th (free tee-shirt!) $20 for the 5-K, $10 1-mile. Day of Race: $25 for the 5-K, $15 for the 1-mile. Kids under 12 can run/walk for free!”
- This event is being held by Penn State Berks Benefiting THON and it will be held on November 6, 2011
